I hope you’re all safe and sound and tucked away in your homes. As we prepare for Florence, I wanted to write you a few updates.
First, as you may have heard, the corner market is off for this Saturday. If you need coffee send me a message and we can arrange a drop or pickup. I have a few fresh pounds that I roasted earlier in the week before things started shutting down.
Now some bad news/good news:
My second “roaster” broke. I say that with air quotes because I’m hand roasting all of our coffee right now with stovetop popcorn poppers. The one I’ve been using for the last 60 pounds of beans or so gave out on Tuesday night, which really surprised me because it seemed like it was built so well. I had a momentary panic because I have been working to save any money I make so that I can buy the Aillio Bullet R1. I really didn’t want to use some of that money to buy another temporary one, but after I took a breath and realized it didn’t all have to “go as planned” I got online and ordered a new stainless steal Whirly Pop. It just arrived this evening, so we’re back in business!
Also, this past Monday, our friends over at The People’s Perk had Fireweed Coffee as their “Guest Roaster” and word is that people loved our coffee! They continue to carry our roasts for their French Press but it was nice to get a little extra exposure.
Finally, I’ve had some questions about placing orders. If you’d like to place an order the easiest way to get our coffee is to pick it up on Saturday mornings to the Corner Market but I will mail it out if you’re not close by. Please visit our updated order page on our website to place orders.
I look forward to seeing you next Saturday!
